Maria will feature at the Lambeth Readers and Writers Festival in an event celebrating 100 years of Polish independence and the achievements of Polish women, including their gaining the vote.
In a panel discussion chaired by Ursula Phillips, I will talk about MP-J’s achievements as a playwright. She wrote over a dozen plays, in which she explored – often in comic form, and in comparison to Oscar Wilde and G. B. Shaw – ideas of womanhood and how women could exercise their freedom in a male-dominated world.
